TIRANA (Albania), June 6 (SeeNews) – Albania’s central bank said on Monday it will auction 10.8 billion leks ($110.9 million/75.8 million euro) in six-month and one-year Treasury bills on June 14.
The bank, which auctions government securities on behalf of the finance ministry, will offer 5.0 billion leks of six-month T-bills and 5.8 billion leks of one-year government paper.
The latest issue of six-month government paper produced an average annual yield of 6.79% on May 17, down from 6.8% in the previous auction on April 12.
The country’s one-year T-bills yielded an average 7.38% in the latest auction held on May 31, up from 7.36% in the latest auction held on May 17.
The Bank of Albania (www.bankofalbania.org) auctioned T-bills worth 349.356 billion leks in par value last year. It has sold 140.369 billion leks worth of T-bills so far this year.
