TIRANA (Albania), March 10 (SeeNews) – Albania’s government has decided to suspend all flights and passenger ferry services to Italy as a preventive measure following the confirmation of six cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country, infrastructure minister Belinda Balluku said on Tuesday.
The flights from Albania’s sole international airport of Tirana and passenger ferries from Albanian sea ports to Italy will be suspended until a second notice, minister Balluku said in a video file posted on Facebook..
Albania’s health ministry late on Monday confirmed four new COVID-19 cases, as their number reached six.
All patients have been hospitalised in Tirana and their condition is stable, the health ministry said.
