June 1 (SeeNews) - Albania’s infrastructure ministry issued a call for advisors to help develop a 110 million euro ($117.5 million) green mobility project, which foresees the introduction of electric buses in the capital Tirana, it said on Wednesday.
The project involves the delivery of electric buses, civil engineering works on three rapid bus corridors, deployment of smart charging infrastructure, the establishment of a bus depot with a management centre, and an optional photovoltaic power plant installation, a tender notice published by the ministry shows.
The consultant should have expertise in concept preparation, tendering, engineering, supervision of construction, commissioning and project management.
Any tender contractual agreements or obligations are pending, as soft loan and investment grant agreements with project financers, German Financial Cooperation and the European Union, have not yet been signed, the ministry noted.
