TIRANA (Albania), January 15 (SeeNews) – The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) said on Tuesday it is inviting bids in a tender for construction or upgrade of urban infrastructure in the municipality of Puka, in the north of the country.
The bidding deadline is February 18 and construction works must be completed within six months, ADF said in a notice posted on its website.
The project envisages the rehabilitation of road connection to Puka hospital, construction of a drainage system and footpaths, works on lighting, greening and vertical and horizontal signs, as well as an upgrade of existing old building facades including thermal insulation.
The infrastructure works in Puka are part of a major project for the development of the Albanian Alps and coastal areas, co-financed with a 28.7 million euro ($33.4 million) loan from the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) and a contribution of 6.0 million euro from the Albanian government, ADF said.
Bidding will be conducted through open tender procedures based on the CEB’s guidelines for procurement of supplies, works and services, and is open to bidders from any country.
ADF is a public agency whose mission is to encourage a sustainable, balanced and cohesive socio-economic development at local and regional level. The ADF was established at the beginning of 1993, based on an agreement between the Albanian government and the World Bank.
