March 20 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Air Serbia is considering launching flights to Toronto in Canada and Miami in the U.S., regional media reported on Monday.
Both cities have an equal chance of potentially being added to the airline’s network, news portal EX-YU Aviation quoted Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek, as saying.
Air Serbia will launch its Belgrade-Chicago route on May 17, and introduce daily flights to New York from June 18.
The airline’s main aim in the development of its long haul network remains the addition of flights to Beijing and Shanghai, in China, which are unlikely to be launched before the fourth quarter due to the lengthy process of acquiring permits, said Marek.
