March 10 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Air Serbia has suspended flights linking Nis airport, in the east of the country, to Italy's Bologna and Rome, due to the coronavirus outbreak in Italy, it said.
The company has also decided to reduce the frequencies of flights to Venice, Milan and Tel Aviv from Belgrade, while the Belgrade-Rome service will be operated without changes, Air Serbia said in a statement on Monday.
The company will cancel its Belgrade-Venice flights on March 11, 25 and 30, and on April 6 and 27, as well as flights to Tel Aviv on March 12 and 20. Moreover, the Belgrade-Milan flights scheduled for March 12, 16, 17, 19, 24 and 26, as well as all flights on Tuesdays in April, except for April 14, and all flights on Thursdays in April except for April 9, will also be cancelled, Air Serbia said.
The decision was made with the consent of the relevant authorities, and passengers who have purchased tickets for two routes will be offered a free ticket for the same destinations by the end of the summer or a refund, Air Serbia noted.
