February 17 (SeeNews) - Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] was the most traded stock and generated the highest share turnover on the Belgrade stock market on Friday, as share indices rose, bourse data indicated.
Aerodrom also led the blue-chip gainers list, winning 1.04% to 1,162 dinars, as 2,323 of its shares changed hands in 215 transactions, generating a trading turnover of 2.7 million dinars on Friday.
Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] paced the blue-chip decliners on Friday, shedding 0.32% to 1,261 dinars, as 911 shares were traded, generating a turnover of 1.149 million dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse fell to 8.2 million dinars ($70,489/66,189 euro), generated in a total of 371 transactions, from 131.8 million dinars on Tuesday. Trading sessions were not organised on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday and Thursday, due to the celebration of the Serbian Statehood Day.
Trading in shares on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) segment contributed 2.1 million dinars to the total turnover on the Belgrade stock market on Friday.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, won 0.15% to 709.89 points. On Tuesday, the index added 0.75% to 708.82.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, edged up 0.07% and closed Friday's session at 1,547.29 after rising by 0.52% to 1,546.21 on Tuesday.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on the Belgrade stock market on Friday. The dinar-denominated RSO1465 Treasury bond issue, bearing a coupon of 10%, was excluded from trading from the Prime Listing segment of the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday. It matures on February 27, 2017.
In the period between February 13 and February 17, BELEX15 and BELEXline rose by 1.04% and 0.63%, respectively. Both indices closed in the black in all three trading sessions in the period.
Shares in Energoprojekt advanced the most among the blue chips between February 13 and February 17. The stock added 3.87% in the period. A total of 113,626 shares in Energorojekt changed hands this week, generating a turnover of 143.5 million dinars.
On Tuesday, Energoprojekt said it plans to repurchase shares equal to up to 2% of own capital following recent fluctuations in its price on the Belgrade bourse. Energoprojekt will buy back up to 218,620 shares out of the total 10,931,929 trading on the stock market, in order to avoid market turmoil and direct damage.
Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] fell the most this week, down 2.10% to 4,102 dinars. A total of 45 shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 184,627 dinars.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market this week was 179.2 million dinars, versus 44.1 million dinars in the previous week. Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 610.1 million dinars to this week's total trading turnover of 789.3 million dinars on the bourse.
Two transactions of Treasury bonds were carried out this week. A total of 53,000 bonds of the dinar-denominated RSO15105 issue changed hands on Monday. The bonds bear a coupon of 10% and mature on March 2, 2018. Last week, the trading in Treasury bonds amounted to 699.3 million dinars out of a total trading turnover of 743.8 billion million dinars.
Trading in shares on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) segment contributed 3.7 million dinars to the total turnover on the Belgrade stock market in the period between February 13 and February 17, versus 7.8 million dinars last week.
