SOFIA (Bulgaria), October 22 (SeeNews) – Venture capital company Advent International Corporation is seeking to acquire Bulgarian ceramic tiles producer Khan Asparuh, the Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) said on Monday.
Advent International Corporation has requested the CPC to review the planned deal, the CPC said in a statement.

Neither officials of Advent International Corporation nor Khan Asparuh were immediately available to comment.
Khan Asparuh, which is part of ceramic tiles manufacturer KAI Group, is the largest Bulgarian producer of wall and floor tiles. It is located in the town of Isperih, near the border with Romania.
Advent International Corporation has so far invested in the telecoms sector in Bulgaria. It owned 65% of the country’s dominant fixed-line telecom operator BTC, which Icelandic tycoon Thor Bjorgolfsson had an option to buy. Earlier this year Bjorgolfsson sold the 65% stake to AIG Global Investment Group's (AIGGIG) for 1.08 billion euro ($1.5 billion).
