March 30 (SeeNews) - A joint venture comprising UK-based Marina Projects and Albanian companies Marina di Valona, Brunes and Ndregjoni has won a 22.8 million euro ($26.9 million) tender for the design, construction, operation, maintenance and transfer of a port for yachts and small boats in the city of Vlora, Albania’s infrastructure ministry said.
Besides the winning candidate, Albanian companies Albavia and Gjikuria also submitted offers in the tender for awarding a 35-year concession contract on the project that is expected to give a boost to tourism in the region of Vlora, the infrastructure ministry said in a notice.
The negotiations with the winner will be completed within 60 days, the ministry said.
