March 2 (SeeNews) - Turnover on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) more than doubled on Thursday boosted by block trading in drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG], which accounted for more than half of the total, stock exchange data showed.
Total trading turnover stood at 3.65 million euro ($3.84 million), up from 1.37 million euro on Wednesday. Krka generated 1.94 million euro, including 1.56 million euro in three block deals.
Household appliances maker Gorenje [LJE:GRVG] accounted for the second-largest turnover on Thursday, of 909,090 euro. Its share price ticked up 0.01% to 6.7 euro.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, dropped 0.15% to 789.9 points, after edging down 0.05% on Wednesday.
Logistics company Intereuropa declined the most among the blue chips on Thursday, by 2.32% to a closing price of 1.807 euro, in a modest turnover of 710 euro.
Chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] led the blue-chip gainers, adding 0.94% to a closing price of 194.2 euro. It had a turnover of 147,900 euro.
