October 10 (SeeNews) - Serbia's infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic said Turkey will join a project for the construction of a motorway connecting Belgrade to Bosnia's capital Sarajevo.
The total investment in the construction of the motorway in Serbia will stand at 830 million euro ($977.5 million), Mihajlovic said, as quoted in a statement by the Serbian government on Monday.
In Serbia, the project will involve the construction of a 60 km stretch linking Uzice to Kotroman, on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mihajlovic said.
The new stretch will be an extension to the existing Belgrade-Pozega section of Corridor XI.
A letter of intent for the participation of the Turkish government will be signed with Turkey's transport minister Ahmet Arslan during the forthcoming visit to Serbia of the president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Mihajlovic said.
Erdogan is due to will pay an official visit to Serbia on October 10 and 11.
