August 1 (SeeNews) - Online betting operator Telematic Interactive Bulgaria [BSE:TIB] said that its standalone net profit went up to some 11.8 million levs ($6.7 million/6 million euro) in the first half of 2023 from 10.5 million levs in the comparable period of last year.
Total operating revenue in the review period jumped to 55 million levs from 45.5 million levs a year earlier, the company said in an interim financial statement on Monday.
As much as 92.1% of the company's revenue was generated from online casino games, the income from which grew by an annual 22.6%. Sports betting revenue declined by an annual 1.3% to 4.22 million levs in the first six months of this year.
The average number of active users climbed by 32% on the year to 94,459, while the average revenue per client went down 10%, the company said.
Telematic Interactive's expenses grew to 41.9 million levs in January-June from 33.7 million levs in the same period of 2022. The rise was chiefly due to a 20% increase in costs for hired services to 25.4 million levs and a 35% leap in personnel costs to 3.2 million levs.
Shares in Telematic Interactive last traded on Monday when they closed at 14.70 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data show.
