December 20 (SeeNews) - Telekom Slovenije said on Wednesday its unit for telecommunications equipment supplies, GVO, has become the sole owner of local company OPTIC-TEL telekomunikacije.
The acquired company will become part of the Telekom Slovenije Group, the telco said in a Ljubljana bourse filing.

Telekom Slovenije explained that GVO and the sole owner of OPTIC-TEL telekomunikacije agreed that GVO would acquire a 100% share in OPTIC-TEL. The telco did not disclose any details on the previous owner.
GVO, as the sole owner, will carry out OPTIC-TEL's activities which include work on the Juzna Primorska open access network. Telekom Slovenije explained that GVO will continue to install open backbone and access networks that provide bitstream broadband access to people in the municipalities of Komen, Sezana, Hrpelje-Kozina and Ilirska Bistrica.
GVO designs, constructs and maintains telecommunications and electro energetic cable networks.
