July 25 (SeeNews) - Technology and telecommunication companies were the most active tenants of modern office space in the Romanian capital Bucharest in the second quarter of 2019 with a share of 37% of the total take-up recorded, commercial real estate brokers and consultants Cushman&Wakefield (C&W) said.
In the April-June period demand for modern office space in Bucharest stood at about 93,000 sq m, with net take-up having a share of almost 67%, C&W said in a statement on Wednesday.
Three new projects were completed during the review period, as the biggest one was the 60 million euro ($67 million) GLA Oregon Park C building, spreading on 24,000 sq m.
Another 175,000 sq m of office space is expected to be completed by the end of the year, which will result in the 3 million sq m threshold being exceeded. In fact, with a total new supply of approximately 300,000 sq m, 2019 will be one of the best years in terms of deliveries for Bucharest office market, C&W also said.
