July 7 (SeeNews) - Natural gas transportation operator Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG (TAP) said it is inviting interested parties to submit non-binding connection requests for existing points in Greece, Albania, and Italy and new points in Greece and Albania.
TAP and gas transmission system operators from neighbouring Italy and Greece, SRG and DESFA, have launched the non-binding phase of the 2023 market test for new incremental capacity under guidelines approved by the Italian, Greek and Albanian regulatory authorities, TAP said in a notice published last week.
TAP plans to increase its capacities by 10 billion cubic meters (bcm) per year, if this will be economically feasible. Requests should be submitted by August 28, and after that there will be a two-week revision of the requests as TAP will be publishing the results of capacity allocation in the second phase of the 2021 market test.
The 2023 market test results will be published in a demand assessment report early in 2024.
In January, following the first binding bid submission window for the 2021 market test, TAP said it would allocate 1.2 bcm of incremental capacity per year through long term contracts starting from 2026.
