June 5 (SeeNews) - A strike of workers at Macedonia's railway operator has brought railway traffic in the country to a near standstill, local media reported on Monday.
Striking workers at state-owned Makedonski Zeleznici Transport are protesting against delays in wage payment and selective wage hikes, MIA news agency reported.
Only trains to the cities of Gevgelija and Bitola, as well as the international train Belgrade-Skopje-Thessaloniki were operated on Monday.
According to MIA, from Tuesday on the striking workers will only let pass the Belgrade-Skopje-Thessaloniki train.
