SOFIA (Bulgaria), March 17 (SeeNews) – Diversified holding Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR] led the blue-chip gainers on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday, bourse data showed.
Stara Planina Hold shares closed 5.63% higher at 7.599 levs as 2,527 shares changed hands on the Sofia bourse.
BSE's total stock trading turnover edged down to 2.46 million levs ($1.35 million/1.26 million euro) on Friday, from 2.50 million levs on Thursday.
The bourse will revise on March 20 its blue-chip index SOFIX, excluding from it Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:4ID] and construction company Trace Group Hold [BUL:T57], while including aluminium products maker Alcomet [BUL:6AM] and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH].
Industrial Holding Bulgaria led the blue-chip decliners on Friday, falling 8.09% to 0.818 levs in a trading volume of 100,641 shares.
Eurohold Bulgaria rose 9.5% to 0.98 levs as 226,196 of the company shares changed hands on Friday.
The blue-chip stock index SOFIX rose 1.71% to 634.98 points, after adding 0.17% on Thursday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, increased by 1.30% to 125.40 points, following an increase of 0.34% on Thursday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, added 0.23% to 108.56 points, after edging down 0.06% on Thursday.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, rose 1.32% to 503.47 points, after adding 0.16% on Thursday.
Drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] was the most traded blue-chip on Friday, as 132,548 of the company shares traded at an average price of 3.767 levs.
