March 16 (SeeNews) - Most indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in negative territory on Wednesday, dragged down by a 5.22% decline in battery manufacturer Monbat [BUL:MONB] and an 8.65% drop in diversified holding Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria [BUL:ZHBG].
Monbat closed at 5.45 levs as 2,260 shares changed hands, while Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria closed at 0.19 levs as11,000 company shares were traded, bourse data showed.

The blue-chip SOFIX index lost 0.12% to 589.67 points. Monbat topped the list of SOFIX decliners.
The drop in Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria weighed on the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, which edged down 0.02% to 137.63 points.
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, advanced by 0.22% to 692.12 points, mostly supported by a 10.03% increase in First Investment Bank [BUL:FIB], to 1.92 levs.
The BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, decreased by 0.32% to 170.69 points. The index was dragged down a 1.96% decline in Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF], to 2.00 levs.
Turnover on the BSE's main market went down to 1.15 million levs ($646,600/588,000 euro) on Wednesday from 1.4 million levs on Tuesday.
