SOFIA (Bulgaria), February 16 (SeeNews) – The Bulgarian stock exchange indices ended lower on Monday as turnover on the regulated market rose, bourse data indicated.
The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the BSE, closed 0.61% lower at 493.92 points after rising 0.54% on Friday.
The broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares, was 0.46% down to 99.20 points after rising 0.33% in the previous trading session.
Turnover on the regulated market rose to 1.8 million levs ($1.1 million/920,300 euro) from 183,700 levs on Friday.
Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:4ID] was the top SOFIX gainer, closing 1.85% higher at 1.10 levs as 50,000 shares were traded.
First Investment Bank [BUL:5F4] was the biggest SOFIX loser, closing 3.06% lower at 2.50 levs as 2,582 shares changed hands.
Industrial group Chimimport [BUL:6C4] was the most traded blue chip with 49,728 shares changing hands.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, ended 1.44% lower to 95.47 points after rising 0.28% in the previous session.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, ended 0.38% lower at 390.24 points after falling 0.01% on Friday.
