August 22 (SeeNews) - Two of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed lower on Tuesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX shedding 0.06% to 729.22 points, bourse data showed.
SOFIX was set back by a 2.47% tumble at Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:CCB] to 1.58 levs and a 1.81% decline in diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:HVAR] to 43.40 levs.
Holding Varna also weighed on the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. It was further constrained by farming group Agria Group Holding [BUL:AGH], which fell by 1.33% to 22.20 levs, bringing the index down by 0.02% to 781.82 points.
In comparison, the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, inched up 0.03% to 154.55 points. It was spurred on by online betting operator Telematic Interactive Bulgaria [BUL:TIB], which leapt by 4.17% to 15.00 levs, and parcel delivery company Speedy [BUL:SPDY], which added 3.39% to 122.00 levs.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, advanced by 0.19% to 191.64 points. It was boosted by a 0.92% rise in Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF] to 2.20 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange jumped to some 3.31 million levs ($1.85 million/1.69 million euro) on Tuesday from 981,849 levs on Monday.
The day's top stock by turnover was IoT products maker Shelly Group [BUL:SLYG], which generated 114,077 levs with 2,796 shares traded. The stock closed 0.97% lower at 40.80 levs.
