LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), September 8 (SeeNews) - Slovenian start-up Viberate, operating a decentralised marketplace platform for live music, said it has raised more than $10 million (8.3 million euro) in an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in less than five minutes.
Viberate sold the total planned amount of 120 million Vibe tokens, which will be delivered to contributors immediately and become available after the official end of ICO on October 5, the start-up said in a press release earlier this week.
The Vibe tokens will start trading on October 6 and the first exchange to list them is LiveCoin.net, Viberate said.
"People have seen that Viberate already has value and a Viberate community covering our backs. That is probably refreshing to see in the ICO world,” CEO Matej Gregorcic said.
Viberate is a platform that works as Internet Movie Database (IMDb) for live music, where profiles are ranked according to their online popularity. It already has more than 130,000 profiles of musicians, created by over 50,000 different contributors to the site.
