October 4 (SeeNews) - Slovenian hotel operator Union Hoteli [LJSE:GHUG] turned to a net profit of 776,000 euro ($766,300) in the first half of 2022 from a 1.3 million euro net loss in the like period of last year, the company said.
The group turned to earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 2.1 million euro in the first six months of 2022 from a 680,000 euro loss before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (LBITDA), Union Hoteli said in a statement with the Ljubljana bourse last week.
The operating costs of Union Hoteli went up to 7.0 million euro from 4.2 million euro, the company said.
Last year, Union Hotels Collection established Equinox Nepremicnine, a real estate management unit that became the first real estate joint-stock company to join the Slovenian equity market in January 2022. The company transferred its real estate assets to the new unit to focus on its hotel management business and changed its name to Union Hotels Collection from Union Hoteli.
The Union Hoteli group operates the Grand Hotel Union, the Grand Hotel Union Business, the Hotel Lev and the Central Hotel in Ljubljana.
