May 16 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's biggest insurer, Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG], said on Wednesday its first quarter consolidated net profit increased 5% on the year to 23.3 million euro ($27.6 million).
Consolidated gross written premiums grew 4% to 292.6 million euro in the three months through March, and net premium income rose at the same rate of 4% to 223.4 million euro, the company said in a filing to the Ljubljana bourse.
Net claims incurred expanded 2% to 151.6 million euro.
Premium growth was recorded in all markets of the group.
Triglav Group employed 5,180 at the end of March, up 1% year-on-year.
