May 18 (SeeNews) - The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE), SBITOP, fell on Wednesday amid lower turnover, bourse data showed.
SBITOP, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, closed 0.49% lower at 709.17 after rising 0.47% on Tuesday.
Total daily turnover fell to 1.3 million euro ($1.5 million) from 1.6 million euro on Tuesday.
Five out of seven blue chips ended lower on Wednesday, one closed higher and one stayed flat.
Reinsurer Sava Re [LJE:POSR] was the only gainer for the day, adding 1.03% to 14.7 euro with 140 shares sold.
Home appliances maker Gorenje [LJE:GRVG] was the main blue chip loser, falling 3.45% to 5.6 euro with 1,050 shares changing hands.
Drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] remained the most traded company, with a turnover of 991,400 euro for the day with 16,622 shares changing hands. The stock closed 0.66% lower from Tuesday at 59.8 euro.
