LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), April 21 (SeeNews) – Slovenian pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] has raised its own shareholdings to 4.810% from 4.794% after repurchasing 5,274 of its shares for an overall 532,615 euro ($640,720) on the Ljubljana bourse, it said.
Krka bought 2,041 shares at 94.14 euro each on April 15, a further 843 shares at 100.42 euro each on April 16, another 2,390 shares at 103.02 euro each on April 19, it said in a bourse filing on Tuesday.
Prior to the transactions, Krka held 1,572,217 of its own shares. Following the repurchase, it now holds 1,577,491 own shares.
The share purchase is part of Krka's new share buyback programme, launched in July, under which the company plans to acquire a maximum of just over 1.84 million own shares over the following 36 months. The maximum pecuniary amount allocated to the programme is 356.4 million euro.
The company's shares closed up 2.43% at 105.50 euro on Tuesday on the Ljubljana bourse.
