December 23 (SeeNews) - Slovenian chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] has cut to 50% the share of its net profit to be distributed as dividend to shareholders for 2022 and 2023, it said on Friday.
The change is part of amendments to the dividend policy of the company approved by its board of directors and its supervisory board on December 22, Cinkarna Celje said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
According to the original dividend policy of Cinkarna Celje for the period 2019-2023, presented in April 2018, the company planned to distribute 75% of its annual net profit as dividends.
Cinkarna Celje booked a net profit of 39.5 million euro ($41.9 million) in the first nine months of 2022, up from 26.2 million euro in the like period of last year, as turnover rose 29.2% year-on-year to 188.6 million euro.
Cinkarna Celje's shares traded flat at 24.80 euro by 0951 CET on Friday on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
