September 2 (SeeNews) - Slovenian chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] said it has repurchased 320 of its own shares for a total of 52,852 euro ($63,000).
Thus, Cinkarna Celje has increased its holding of own shares to 1.49% of the issued share capital from 1.45%, the company said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
The company bought 120 own shares on August 28 at 166 euro each, and a further 200 shares on August 31 at 164.50 euro each.
As of September 1, following the transactions, Cinkarna Celje held 12,041 own shares.
The decision for the share buyback was approved by the general shareholders' meeting of Cinkarna Celje on June 17.
The company's shares closed up 1.81% at 169 euro on Tuesday on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange. They did not trade at opening on Wednesday.
