September 3 (SeeNews) - Slovenian share indices extended their losses on Thursday, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index fell 0.74% to 1,017.76 points and the broader SBI20 index dropped 0.46% to 4,127.70 points.
On Wednesday, the SBITOP ended 0.49% lower and the SBI20 shed 0.34%.
The country’s biggest insurer, Zavarovalnica Triglav, was the only gainer among the blue chips. Its stock rose 1.39% to an average daily price of 21.85 euro ($31.2) as 2,092 shares changed hands.
The other seven components of the SBITOP lost ground. Slovenia’s largest retailer, Mercator, led decliners with a fall of 1.69% in its share price to 163.13 euro but in small volumes.
SBITOP heavyweight, drug maker Krka, was the most liquid stock. A total of 12,327 of Krka's shares were traded, ending 1.07% lower at 71.07 euro.
LJSE's total turnover rose to 2.0 million euro ($2.9 million) from 1.7 million euro on Wednesday. Bonds generated 176,000 euro of Thursday's turnover compared to 110,000 euro on Wednesday.
