LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), September 15 (SeeNews) – Slovenian share indices fell on Tuesday as turnover rose, data of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index fell 0.40%, finishing at 1,047.86 and the broader SBI20 lost 0.59% to 4,249.75 points.
On Monday, the SBITOP added 0.35% and the SBI20 rose by 0.44%.
Six of the eight SBITOP components fell on Tuesday and two gained ground.
Slovenian blue-chip brewer Pivovarna Lasko rose 0.54% to an average daily price of 29.95 euro ($43.7). The other SBITOP component that moved higher was Slovenia’s biggest insurer, Zavarovalnica Triglav, edging up 0.04% to 25.17 euro.
Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor, the nation's second biggest lender by assets, led the blue-chip decliners and closed 1.0% lower at 11.89 euro.
Drug maker Krka, a SBITOP heavyweight, was the most liquid company on Tuesday as 7,006 of its shares changed hands. Its stock fell 0.55% to 71.74 euro.
LJSE's total turnover rose to 1.9 million euro from Monday’s 1.3 million euro.
