June 24 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s seaports handled 1.803 million tonnes of cargo in the first four months of 2022, up 7.7% on the year, data from the country's statistical office showed.
The Slovenian seaports serviced a total of 1,021 vessels in January-April, up 3.2%, according to data posted on the website of the statistical office.
In April alone, Slovenia's seaports handled 1.802 million tonnes of cargo, down 6.0%, whereas the number of vessels went up 6.2% to 274.
Koper, with an annual capacity of 18 million tonnes, is the major seaport in Slovenia. Izola and Piran are smaller ports in the country.
