May 13 (SeeNews) - The Slovenian infrastructure ministry said on Wednesday it has decided to award an 8.2 million euro ($8.9 million) contract for the construction of the Kidricevo bypass road, in the northeast of the country, to a consortium of local construction company KIT-AK Gradnja and Map-Trade.
The KIT-AK Gradnja-led consortium offered the lowest price for the four-kilometre road, the ministry said in a statement, adding that its decision could be appealed in the next eight days.
Local media reported earlier that the Kidricevo bypass project attracted seven bids.
The ministry said in December that the total value of the project is estimated at 14.7 million euro, with the European Regional Development Fund providing 6.67 million euro co-financing.
