April 17 (SeeNews) - The number of people who died from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Slovenia rose to 66 by Friday morning, up from 61 a day earlier, while the number of confirmed cases of the infection increased by 36 to 1,305, the government in Ljubljana said.
A total of 28 people are under intensive care out of all 95 who have been hospitalised, the government said on a website it has created to monitor the coronavirus spread in the country.
The latest count is based on the results of 39,330 tests, with 1,193 of the total being executed in the past 24 hours.
The first confirmed coronavirus case in Slovenia was reported on March 4.
