December 20 (SeeNews) - The number of mobile phone users in Slovenia rose 1% on the year to 2.36 million at the end of September, the country’s statistical office said on Tuesday.
The number of mobile post-paid subscribers increased 3% on the year to 1,812,924, the office said on its website.
Outgoing traffic from the mobile network in Slovenia in the third quarter increased 3% on the year to 17 million hours.
The number of text messages sent rose 2% on the year to 598 million in the third quarter.
There were 185,286 classic main telephone lines in Slovenia at the end of September, down 15.7% on the year.
The country had 582,606 broadband Internet connections at end-September, up 2.5% on the year. xDSL connections had a 40.8% share, cable modem connections accounted for 30.1%, while 26.7% were optical fiber access connections.
Slovenia has a population of around 2 million.
