September 7 (SeeNews) - The Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) main index, the MBI10, fell 1.97% month-on-month in August, to 5,764.57, as total trading turnover decreased, the bourse said.
Turnover totalled 328.5 million denars in August ($5.292 million/5.342 million euro), down 23.70%, month-on-month, while turnover on the bourse's electronic system of trading (BEST) went up 24.83% to 256 million denars, the MSE said in a statement on Tuesday.
The number of transactions rose 17.14% month-on-month, to 1,066 in August.
The MSE's market capitalisation totalled 213 billion denars at the end of August, down 2.18% month-on-month, and 1.06% lower on an annual comparison basis.
The MBI10 stood at 5,846.49 points at the end of August 2021.
In August 2021, trading turnover on the MSE totalled 2.8 billion denars, earlier bourse data showed.
