December 11 (SeeNews) - Serbian state-owned textile firm Yumco has opened a personal protective equipment factory in Resavica, in the country's east, the Serbian defence ministry said.
The factory currently has a workforce of 60 and plans to open 60 additional jobs next year, the defence ministry said in a statement on Monday.
Yumco tapped its profit to fund the factory.
In February, Yumco opened a textile factory in Bujanovac, in southern Serbia, to produce uniforms for the Serbian army and police.
Yumco has secured its full workload for 2018 and 2019, the managing director of the company, Branislav Trajkovic, said back in February.
