January 31 (SeeNews) - Serbia's trade deficit fell by 26.4% in 2023, reaching $8.903 billion (8.219 billion euro), the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Exports increased by 6.5% year-on-year to $30.935 billion in 2023, while imports went down by 3.2% to $39.838 billion, the statistical office said in a statement.
The export-import ratio rose to 77.7% last year from 70.6% in 2022.
In December alone, Serbia's exports decreased by 2% on the year to $2.389 billion, while imports added 0.5% to $3.563 billion, resulting in a deficit of $1.172 billion.
