BELGRADE (Serbia), November 4 (SeeNews) – Serbian Internet company Infostud said it has acquired a 60% stake in the country's most popular travel portal, www.putovanja.info, for an undisclosed sum.
The founder of the portal Milos Lalic will stay on as a company director and a 40% shareholder in the travel portal, Infostud said in a statement on its website (www.infostud.com).

Some 30,000 travellers have made online reservations via www.putovanja.info since the website was launched five years ago, company data showed. Unique visits are forecast at 4.0 million in 2009 with pageviews at 35 million. Users of the website can browse offers from over 200 travel agencies.
The latest acquisition brings to six the Internet portals in Infostud's porfolio.
In 2008, Northcliffe International, a unit of UK-based Daily Mail and General Trust, acquired a 25% stake in Infostud, which started out as an education and employment agency and a web portal.
