BELGRADE (Serbia), May 9 (SeeNews) – Serbia's Halkbank [BEL:CCNB] has said it swung to 136.1 million dinars ($1.2 million/1.1 million euro) profit last year, from 185.5 million dinars loss in in 2015.
Net interest income went up 14.1% on the year to 1.345 billion dinars, while net fee and commission increased to 576.6 million dinars from 575.7 million dinars, Halkbank said in a filing with the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday.
The bank saw its expenses for impairment of financial assets and credit risk off-balance sheet items shrink to 389.3 million dinars in 2016 from 761.8 million dinars in 2015.
The bank's loan portfolio amounted to 25 billion dinars, while deposits totalled 28.8 billion dinars at the end of 2016.
