September 14 (SeeNews) - Serbia's consumer prices rose by 4.3% year-on-year in August, after growing by 3.3% in July, official statistics showed.
On a monthly comparison basis, Serbia's consumer price index (CPI) went up 0.9% in August, after rising by 0.2% in July, according to figures published by the national statistical office.
In August, the biggest price increase in annual terms was registered in transport (9.2%), restaurants and hotels (3.1%) and health (2.6%).
In monthly terms, the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages went up 2.0%, prices of transport increased 0.9% and prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose 0.4% in August.
