BELGRADE (Serbia), October 22 (SeeNews) – Majority state-owned Serbian lender Banka Postanska Stedionica said it expects to raise its pre-tax profit to 585 million dinars ($9.4 million/6.3 million euro) in the second half of the year from 348 million dinars in the first half.
The revenue, expenditure and profit forecasts for the second half of 2009 were made considering the effects of the global financial crisis on local economy, it said in a statement to the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) on Wednesday.
The bank posted 3.8 billion dinars in revenue through June with costs at 3.5 billion dinars, the statement said.
Banka Postanska Stedionica (www.posted.co.rs) ranked as the 20th biggest out of the 34 banks operating in Serbia at the end of June with 27 billion dinars in total assets, data from the country’s central bank showed.
