August 13 (SeeNews) - Serbia's average annual consumer price inflation quickened to 2.4% in July from 2.3% in June, the national statistical office said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Serbia's consumer price index (CPI) fell by 0.3% in July, after increasing by 0.4% in June, the statistical office said in a monthly inflation report.
Prices of alcoholic beverage and tobacco rose 2.6% month-on-month in July, while recreation and culture costs grew 2.3%. Prices of transport grew by 0.4%, while healthcare prices increased 0.1%.
Prices in the sector of food and non-alcoholic beverages fell by 1.9% in July, while clothing and footwear costs declined 1.3%.
The country's annual consumer price inflation quickened to 3.0% in 2017 from 1.2% in 2016.
