August 27 (SeeNews) - Serbian state-owned insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] said on Friday its net profit went down 8.5% on the year to 1.3 billion dinars ($10 million/8.5 million euro) in the first half of 2021.
The insurer's premium income rose 4.4% on the year to 13.8 billion dinars in the first half, Dunav Osiguranje said in a filing with the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
The premium income from life insurance came in at 1.65 million dinars, up 23.1% year-on-year, and non-life insurance premium income grew 4.2% to 15.1 billion dinars.
Operating costs grew by 13.3% to 10 billion dinars, Dunav Osiguranje's balance sheet for the first half of 2021 showed.
