August 20 (SeeNews) - Serbian deputy prime minister Aleksandar Vucic said that talks with Mercedes over local bus maker Ikarbus [BEL:IKRB] are nearing completion and that the German heavyweight is also interested in local truck maker FAP, Belgrade-based media reported on Tuesday.
Vucic did not elaborate.

German industrial group Bosch will open its plant in the town of Pecinci in November, employing there around 600, while one Japanese automotive company is also planning to come to Serbia and create a further 1,000 jobs, news daily Blic (www.blic.rs) reported, quoting Vucic.
In September, the Serbian government said that Bosch had started the construction of a 71 million euro ($95.3 million) plant in Pecinci that will produce windshield wiper systems.
Pecinci is a city and municipality located in Serbia's northern autonomous province of Vojvodina.
