- Serbia’s central town of Jagodina will provide free of charge two hectares of land alongside EU-defined Corridor X to Russian capital Moscow and a further 1.5 hectares to the Moscow Chamber of Commerce as investor inducement, Mayor Dragan Markovic said. Russia approved a $1.0 billion loan to Serbia last month, $800 million of which will be used for infrastructure projects.

- Croatian blue-chip electrical equipment producer Koncar Elektroindustrija, which took part in a tender for the procurement of streetcars to Serbia’s capital Belgrade, said it plans to contest the tender results, Koncar CEO Darinko Bago said. The top tender criterion was pricing and Koncar offered the lowest price, Bago said. Spanish train builder CAF won the tender and signed an 81 million euro deal with the Belgrade municipality for the supply of 30 streetcars.
