- Serbia’s Energy Ministry has issued six permits for the construction of wind farms in 2009 and is currently processing 30 permits for the construction of small hydro power plants, Dejan Stojadinovic, assistant minister for renewable energy sources said. The ministry’s aim is to raise electricity generation from renewable energy sources by 7.4% by 2012.

- Serbia is expected to adopt a restitution law by the end of this year, Finance Ministry’s State Secretary Slobodan Ilic said.

- Belgrade city parliament adopted on Wednesday a third revision of this year’s budget which projects a deficit of 11.4 billion dinars. Revenues total 51.15 billion dinars while expenditures are worth 62.56 billion dinars.
