September 17 (SeeNews) - Serbia's port management agency has invited bids for the drafting of a feasibility study and preliminary design for the expansion of Sremska Mitrovica river port, it said.
The estimated value of the public procurement project is 59.2 million dinars ($555,200/504,000 euro), Serbia's port agency said in a notice last week.
The deadline for submitting bids in the tender is October 14.
The project will enable the city of Sremska Mitrovica to fully realise its economic potential through the use of inland waterway transport services.
In May, infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic said Serbia's government is investing 300 million euro ($330.5 million) in the development of the country's water transport, including the reconstruction of the ports in Belgrade, Sremska Mitrovica and Bogojevo.
