BELGRADE (Serbia), May 21 (SeeNews) – Serbia's infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic said on Monday she has signed an agreement with the government of Azerbaijan for the launch of direct flights connecting Belgrade to Baku.
With the agreement, the governments of Serbia and Azerbaijan create conditions for the development of air traffic between the two countries through the launch of a Belgrade-Baku flight, Mihajlovic said, according to a statement by the Serbian infrastructure ministry.
Mihajlovic is part of the delegation of Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan on May 21 and 22.
A cooperation agreement in the field of road transport was also signed with the Azeri government, Mihajlovic said.
In April, flag carrier Azerbaijan Airlines has said it plans to launch a direct flight connecting Baku to Montenegro's Tivat on July 5.
