February 9 (SeeNews) - International broadcaster Central European Media Enterprises (CME), which has operations in several countries of southeastern Europe, said on Thursday its consolidated net loss expanded to $180.6 million (169.1 million euro) last year, from $115.6 million in 2015.
The company’s net revenues increased 5.3% last year, reaching $638 million in 2016, CME said in its 2016 consolidated financial statement.
Operating income jumped 18% to $111.6 million in 2016 from $94.6 million in the same period the previous year.
The company operates primarily in Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

In Southeast Europe, CME's portfolio comprises TV channels bTV, bTV Cinema, bTV Comedy, bTV Action, bTV Lady and Ring.bg in Bulgaria; Nova TV, Doma, Nova World and MiniTV in Croatia; PRO TV, PRO TV International, Acasa, Acasa Gold, PRO Cinema, Sport.ro, MTV Romania in Romania, and POP TV, Kanal A, Brio, Oto and Kino in Slovenia. In Moldova, PRO TV Chisinau and Acasa leverage the programming schedules of Romania's Pro TV and Acasa.
