October 27 (SeeNews) - Re-insurer Sava Re was the top blue chip gainer on Thursday, data from the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) showed.
Sava Re stock added 1.89%, closing at 13.5 euro ($14.7). Turnover from trade in Sava Re, however, was just 7,540 euro.
The bourse's total turnover fell sharply to 831,110 euro from 1.7 million euro on Wednesday.
Among the blue chips, Krka [LJE:KRKG] generated the largest turnover, 392,850 on Thursday. The drug maker's stock closed at 58.58 euro, up 0.27%.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, edged up 0.16% to 749.43 points after declining 0.15% on Wednesday.
Out of seven blue chip companies, four ended higher on Thursday, whereas three fell.
The share price of home appliances producer Gorenje [LJE:GRVG] fell further on Thursday, leading the blue chip decliners with a drop of 1.11% to a close of 8.9 euro. In the previous trading session, it fell 1.64% to 9 euro.
