February 22 (SeeNews) - Slovenian reinsurer Sava Re [LJE:POSR] was the top blue-chip gainer on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) on Wednesday, bourse data indicated.
Shares in Sava Re added 2.44% to a closing price of 16.8 euro ($17.7), generating a turnover of 132,550 euro on Wednesday.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, rose 0.79% to 771.67 points, after edging up 0.19% on Tuesday.
The LJSE's total share trading turnover rose to 1.61 million euro from 1.01 million euro on Tuesday.
Drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] was the blue-chip company which generated the largest trading turnover on Wednesday, of 590,480 euro, followed by insurer Triglav with 300,870 euro. Krka's shares closed at 51 euro, up 0.49%, while Triglav ended the trading session 1.13% higher at 26.8 euro.
Logistics company Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG] led the blue-chip decliners on Wednesday. Its stock closed 2.58% lower at 1.851 euro, in a turnover of 10,090 euro.
